Malaria - Staying Away From the Disease

Many people in the world die as result of malaria disease. It is strange that just a bite of an insect that cannot even withstand a strong blow causes such great mayhem. However, it is proven that malaria is caused by an infected female mosquito called Anopheles. When the infected mosquito bites a person, it transfers a parasite which is a minute organism known as Plasmodium. Because of this the person experiences a round of chills and fever. The problem is more severe in populated countries. However, we can reduce the risk of this infectious disease by adopting few easy malaria prevention steps.
The treatment for malaria becomes easier if diagnosed at the early state, we must prepare ourselves with the knowledge on changes to an infected person's experience after been bitten by the infected mosquito. If you or anyone of your family member is suffering with vomiting, headache, fever, tiredness, muscle pain, shivering, sweating, and nausea, then it is a sure sign of malaria. In any of these signs, you must rush the person to the doctor. The doctor will do some test to confirm the disease and then decide on the course of treatment.
There is no need to fear from this disease, as there is a cure for it. However, immediate treatment is necessary to stop it spreading over the other parts of the body. You can follow these malaria prevention measures and protect you and your family from those deadly stings.
Since the root cause of the disease is a mosquito, you must get rid of them anyhow. Since they are usually found near and around stagnant water and open gutters, you must cover them and spray some disinfectant on them. Try to keep your home as clean as you can. Deciliter everything in and around the home that can be a breeding ground for the mosquito.
You can keep mosquitoes out of your home in many ways. The best and effective weapon is a mosquito repellent. You can find spraying repellent that has strong toxic smell which can kill mosquitoes available with the chemists.
If you are allergic to toxic chemical, DEET (Diethyltoluamide) found in repellents, you can use cream or lotion on your body that acts as a protective layer.
Mosquito net is another effective measure to keep mosquitoes out of reach. It also comes in various sizes too and fits any single and double bed. The tiny holes of the net will allow any mosquito and other insect to enter in, and you can enjoy a peaceful sleep. You can even take the net along if you are going out for camping.
Cover yourselves with full-sleeves shirts and long pants. These may not offer total malaria preventions or protection, but the clothes can prevent mosquitoes from piercing their sting on the skin.
These are the possible malaria prevention methods. However, despite all these precautions, if you are still affected with malaria, then rush to the doctor immediately before it is too late.
